Are you looking for a great place to work in Playa del Carmen? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Playa del Carmen is full of incredible cafes that serve delicious lattes, cappuccinos and more. From cozy nooks with free Wi-Fi to outdoor patios to enjoy the city’s ambiance while working, these five cafes are perfect when you need to work.

1. Ah Cacao

The top spot on our list is Ah Cacao. You’ll find several branches throughout the city. The one I like to go to is on Avenue 5, near Calle 38. It’s spacious, so there’s almost always room, there’s air conditioning most of the time, and the wifi works pretty well and is free (you only have to reconnect every hour or so with the code provided on your bill). This cozy café specializes in food and drinks made from cocoa. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and they even have a few tables set up outside so customers can enjoy the tropical breeze while working. Plus, they offer table service and there are plenty of outlets so you never run out of battery.

2. Mi Dogo

Next on my list is Mi Dogo. This dog-friendly cafe is located in the center of Playa del Carmen, on 10th Avenue, near Calle 14 and offers several food options (sandwiches, salads, burgers, pastries etc.) and drinks that are perfect for those looking to maximize their productivity during their work day. The decor of this café is quite simple, but there are several comfortable chairs and natural light comes in through the windows. In addition, there is a small outdoor patio where you can take a quick work break. Whether you’re looking for an espresso or a fresh juice, Mi Dogo has something to satisfy your needs and more than offering great wifi!

3. Marley Cafe

Marley Café is another great choice for being productive in Playa del Carmen, as it has large tables, outlets, air conditioning and a casual atmosphere. Not only does it serve organic drinks, but it also offers pastries and baked goods – perfect for refueling when the afternoon slump sets in! The atmosphere of this café is great: the bright colors and lively music make you feel good and energized! Marley Café is an eco-friendly, Bob Marley inspired café located on Calle 2 near 10th Avenue.

4. Basik Foodie

Basik Foodie is another popular spot in Playa del Carmen, offering tasty food and drinks for those looking for an energizing break from their usual routine. In addition to delicious desserts, Basik Foodie also serves excellent specialty coffees and healthy meals. There is a very large terrace and a few tables inside. There are a few places to plug in your computer, but it’s not the cafe with the best wifi or work facilities. If you want to work on tasks that don’t require much internet, such as content creation, this is a great cafe to work in with a nice staff, located on avenue 25 between Calle 26 and Calle 28.

5. Quadra Café

Finally, Quadra Café rounds out my top 5 best places to work in Playa del Carmen. This casual cafe has spacious tables to work well both indoors and outdoors, allowing you to enjoy the city’s beautiful weather while getting your work done! Quadra Café offers refreshing drinks in a plant-filled setting, plus a wide selection of snacks and meals! Be sure to get there early, as the café closes around 4pm. The staff is friendly and offers table service. You’ll find several outlets and good wifi for making calls. This café is located on CTM near 10th Avenue.

Whichever one you choose from this list of the five best places to work in Playa del Carmen – Ah Cacao, Mi Dogo, Marley Cafe, Basik Foodie or Quadra Café – you’re sure to find a comfortable spot with delicious treats and a great atmosphere that will help boost your productivity levels!
